August 28 - Living Room Concert #1
Greenfield, Ma (Lauri McNamara's)

BRIAN: Slice This Melon!! Cut This Pie!!
Ok, I will.

Last night was the first real SFTD Living Room concert and it was swell, indeed. We knew the hostess, and some of the guests, but many were strangers to me. There was pie for dinner (chicken pot), pie for dessert (choc cream and raspberry) and pie before we went to mbmmbmbbed. (Monkees reference?anyone?). Lauri played the genial host and BRAND NEW OWNER OF A GROOVY OLD BRICK 3 STORY HOUSE IN GREENFIELD!!
Notable guests included Frank P, arranging wizard Peter, Abbey Barlow and the star of the night, who lives there, Sal. As we were leaving, Rob and Lori showed up.

The gig itself was about 35-40 minutes. We're still perfecting the genre, but Henning did a great job communicating with the crowd.

On the way home, the sugar and cream from the large slab of chocolate cream pie, mixed with 2 glasses of dark beer were strangling up my brain and I felt like a stranger in Greenfield, taking wrong turns and stuff. Thanks to Max for straightening me out. Max and I had a nice chat on the way home. We marvel at Sal's comfort around adults. And we agreed that both of us still feel like little kids around new adults.
