November 9, 2005 - International Pop Overthrow - Paradise Lounge - Boston

Henning says: This was School for the Dead's third time in the International Pop Overthrow. It's always a pleasure. The crowd is always ready to celebrate poppy music and David Bash, the organizer is always a well of enthusiasm.

This was School for the Dead's second time playing at the Paradise Lounge. I really enjoy playing there. It's comfortable unlike a lot of the Boston Rock Clubs. Instead of angry black walls, it is colorful and plush. They had a cool art exhibit of photos by Mark Mothersbaug on display. Ah..celebrity.

This was gig was a long time ago as of the writing of this entry so forgive me for my lack luster description. I actually don't remember that much about it already. I remember that most of the other bands were way too loud for the room and the atmosphere of the crowd. I remember the Fawns having a great set. I remember enjoying Rooftop Suicide Club and The Cyanide Valentine.

I also recall runnning into a few old friends, which is always nice.

besides that...huh...I don't know. Sorry. Enjoy the pictures anyway. The shots of SFTD were taken by my brother Norbert.
